- Email all student attendance notes to LWESAbsence@hcpss.org to ensure that your student's lawful absence is marked as excused. Envíe por correo electrónico todas las notas de asistencia de los estudiantes a LWESAbsence@hcpss.org para asegurarse de que la ausencia legal de su estudiante se marque como justificada.
- In your email, please include your child's name and grade. You have up to 5 days after your child's return to school to submit an absence note. - Inform your child’s teachers of their absence. Do not send attendance notes solely to your child's teachers. Informe a los maestros de su hijo sobre su ausencia. No envíe notas de asistencia únicamente a los maestros de su hijo.

Early Dismissals/Salidas anticipadas
- Please come to the school prior to 2:55 p.m. if you need to pick up your child early from school. Por favor venga a la escuela antes de las 2:55 p.m. si necesita recoger a su hijo temprano de la escuela.
- Bring your identification when picking up your child. Traiga su identificación cuando recoja a su hijo.
- Please note that it could take up to 10 minutes to have your child collect their belongings and come to the front office. Tenga en cuenta que su hijo podría tardar hasta 10 minutos en recoger sus pertenencias y venir a la oficina principal.
- Your child will be directed to the front office and a staff member will escort them to the vestibule for dismissal. Su hijo será dirigido a la oficina principal y un miembro del personal lo acompañará al vestíbulo para la salida.
Why Attendance Matters
If children don’t show up for school regularly, they miss out on fundamental reading and math skills and the chance to build a habit of good attendance that will carry them into college and careers.
