taff from the library will come and read books, sing songs, and explain the library to all 4 classes.
The library staff will arrive at 9:00 and set up for the program to begin at 9:30 and end at 10:30.

Parents/Families are invited to come tour the culminating unit project, the classroom Museum. Students will guide their family on a classroom scavenger hunt to the different exhibits.

HCPSS Family Resource will come to LWES for a casual meet and greet for our families with students with special education needs.

Garden Club will meet in cafeteria and be picked up from Mrs. Leclercq to take to room 108 (Mrs. Ories classroom) to complete a circle and then go out to the garden weather pending to complete activities with growing herbs and native pollinator plants April 6 (possible start), April 13, April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18…

Invited Students will receive free eye exams and glasses ( if needed)

Grace Community Church will volunteer their time to hold mentoring/tutoring sessions with 5 Laurel Woods 3rd graders Wednesdays evenings for 6 weeks.

Laurel Woods will host a Farmers Market with donated produce from Gorman Farms and Partner Distribution from Community Action Council every Tuesday between 6/16/26 - 12/3/27.
June 23rd will move to June 14th.
November 3rd will move to November 4th.

Invited Students who failed the vision screening will receive follow up vision exams and glasses if needed.

During BRIDGES starting at 3:45pm in the building. A show about the Universe and how we explore it! Dozens of interactive experiments about life in a vacuum, spacewalks, electromagnetic rocket propulsion, and centrifugal force. Learn about the Solar System with everyone's favorite, the Hoberman Sphere!

LWES is inviting new students/families to the cafeteria to register for Kindergarten SY 2025-2026. We will have a fabulous Magician for the children. Staff and interpretors will be available to help register students for the upcoming Kindergarten year.
