Fidos for Freedom

Students in Pre-K through 5th grade will welcome an educational visit from Fidos for Freedom as part of a schoolwide learning experience. Fidos for Freedom educates the public about individuals with disabilities and the role of specially trained assistance and therapy dogs in the community.

Girls on the Run Community Food Drive

Girls on the Run is hosting a non-perishable food drive to support the Howard County Food Bank through the month of January. Donation boxes are located in each pod and outside the front office. Grades will compete to collect the most items, with the winning grade earning an extra recess period. Community members are encouraged to participate!

LWES Winter Chorus Concert

Our 4th and 5th grade chorus students will be singing in a concert, and families and community members are invited to attend! Performers should arrive by 6:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7:00 p.m. Come enjoy an evening of music and support our students!

Gingerbread House Decorating

-

Families are invited to help their students with a direction following activity and winter fun before winter break. We will be usin gingerbread house items to create a gingerbread house that they can take home and enjoy.

Culture Night

Our families will have the opportunity to share and celebrate their culture. Families are invited to bring in food, games, and dress in traditional clothing, and students can volunteer to perform culture based dances or songs.
