ALL Students and Families

• Students will line up either in the front or rear of the building according to their assigned grade and area.  See below:

  • PreKindergarten - Enter through the side doors near Mrs. Green’s classroom.  These doors are on the right side of the building past the cafeteria.

  • Kindergarten, First, Second and Fifth Grades - Blacktop area in the rear of the building.  (Mrs. Peregoy’s and Ms. Cordova’s students will line up at the door in front of their classrooms near the portable in the front of the building.)

  • RECC - Enter through the doors near the portable.  Students can stand on the sidewalk near the blue doors.

  • Third and Fourth Grades - Enter through the front doors of the building.  They will stand in designated areas.  Third Grade students will stand near the flower beds near the cafeteria.  Fourth Grade students will stand near the flagpole. 

• No cars should be in the bus loop lane.  This area is for our buses and daycare vans only.  

• Late arrivals should drive through the bottom parking lot and have students enter the cafeteria.

Car Riders

• Please have an 8x11 piece of paper with your child’s name and grade written on it and displayed in the front windshield of your vehicle. 

• Everyone must remain in their vehicle.

  • Do not let students out of the vehicle until a staff member has signaled you.  

  • Students should exit out of the right side of the vehicle.

• Enter the car loop and go ALL the way up the hill and come back down to form a single file line.  DO NOT PASS OTHER CARS WITHIN THE LINE.  

• LWES staff will check in with each car as you pull up to pick up your student.

• Car riders will enter the building through the front doors.

Bus Riders 

• Students will arrive by bus in the front bus loop and enter the building through the front doors.

• Students will be given a bus tag the first day of school.  Please leave this tag on their backpack for at least the first few weeks of school.

• At the end of the school day, your child will be dismissed to the bus loop through the front doors.

Walkers 

• Students who walk to school will line up at their assigned area.

• At the end of the school day, students will be dismissed from their assigned areas.  

Late Arrivals 

• Students should come to the cafeteria to be checked in if they are late to school.  

• If it is after 9:25 a.m., please escort your child to the front vestibule.  A sign in sheet will be in the vestibule for parents to sign in on.  Please ring the bell once the child is signed in and a staff member will come out and greet you and your child.  

• Families will not be able to escort their children to the classrooms.  

• Staff will assist students to classrooms if needed.

Early Dismissals

• Please notify the front office of dismissal changes by 1:15 pm.

• No early dismissals after 3:40 p.m.

• Families should come to the school and call into the office from the vestibule.  PLEASE BE SURE TO HAVE A VALID FORM OF IDENTIFICATION (ie - Driver’s License, Military ID, State ID).

• IDs will be checked and students will be brought to the vestibule. 

• Please sign your child out using the Early Dismissal log located in the vestibule.
