Parents/guardians of children who will be five as of September 1, 2021 must enroll their children in kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year. Complete online registration information can be found at https://www.hcpss.org/enroll/

If you are new to Howard County with a student in K-5, you should also complete the same steps to register for school.

If you are transferring from a school within HCPSS, please email juliette_metakes@hcpss.org to begin the transfer process.

Registrations should be submitted online. Parents will have the opportunity to upload documents during the registration process. You can find documents required for registration https://www.hcpss.org/enroll/#docs If parents choose to not upload documents during the registration process, they will be notified of alternative methods to submit the required documents after we have received the registration.

Once online registrations are submitted and reviewed, you will be contacted to set up an appointment using Google Meet.

Inscripción de Kindergarten y 1ro – 5to grado.

La inscripción en línea para el año escolar 2020/2021 para los grados K-5to está ABIERTA. Los padres de familia o tutores de los niños que cumplirán cinco años a partir del 1ro de septiembre de 2020 deben inscribir a sus hijos en Kindergarten para el año escolar 2020-2021. Las inscripciones deben ser completadas en línea. Los padres tendrán la oportunidad de entregar documentos requeridos durante el proceso de inscripción en línea. Pre K Registration is now open. Please note, registration for Pre K is a two step process.

Step one is to contact Juliette_Metakes@hcpss.org for a screening application. Your application must be returned with financial verification documents such as 2019 Tax returns or ONE of the following: 2 Paystubs, SNAP approval letter or other government assistance approval letter.  Applications are typically processed within 7 days of receiving.

You will be notified if your child is accepted or put on a waiting list for the 20/21 school year. If approved, you will need to complete step two which is to complete the online registration after receiving your approval letter. More information will be provided with the acceptance letter.
